How STL Ruler works

Drop STL files anywhere — they are parsed in your browser and never uploaded.
Your workspace restores itself — reload the page and your models, measurements, views and undo history are back (stored locally in the browser only).
Views — use the view cube in the right panel's View drawer, or the view buttons, to snap Front/Top/Iso…
Duplicate — the ⧉ button on a file chip or model row adds another view of the same file.
Labels — the Model label and View label drawers put each label on any side of the model; Spacing moves it closer or further away.
Measurements — width/height dimension lines appear automatically. Drag them to reposition, Del to delete. Use the ruler tool for custom point-to-point dimensions.
Units — mm, cm, decimal or fractional inches, or dual display. Fractional mode rounds up for listings.
Arrange — drag models; align, distribute, or auto-arrange a whole series with one click.
Export — JPG free up to HD. Pro unlocks PNG, SVG, DXF, PDF and up to 8K (rendered on the server from the 2D drawing — your STL is never uploaded).
Presets — save your measurement style to the drawer for one-click reuse.
Compositions — Pro users can save layouts in the cloud; files you already loaded restore automatically.
